I've initiated a lawsuit against Janet Masalo and Scott Masalo of Marin Kitchen for damages sustained to my new kitchen island by Marin Kitchen. Marin Kitchen finished the stone installation of my kitchen island in March 2021. I noticed that the stone had scuff marks on the top surface and took photos and recorded a video which was shared with Marin Kitchen. After many months of emails and two attempts of them sending people to try and "buff out" there's been no resolution. It's been over a year now and they have no motivation to resolve this because I had paid in full (about $20K) so they have my money and have left me no choice but to take legal action. I'll continue to update this post to let everyone know how this gets resolved. In the meantime, if you're considering using Marin Kitchen, be warned. I am making myself available to any customers that would like to know more. Feel free to contact me.

This is a wonderful family owned and run business! They remodeled my kitchen and kept within budget and the final product is more than I had hoped for it was perfect. Janet and Scott, the backbone of this business are professional, knowledgeable and honest and do great work! I highly recommended using Marin Kitchen Co. and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We were doing two bathroom remodels and had been looking for vanity tops. After much search we went to Marin Kitchen Company on Francisco Blvd E in San Rafael. Our first contact was with Scott, who was patient and showed us all the different options available. We decided to go with them because the pricing was very competitive and they gave a very good feeling that they would be with us all the way to the end. Janet took over and helped us decide on the right counter top and helped with all of the scheduling for templates and installations. We were kept informed every step of the way. As in all construction projects, delays happened and it never seemed to bother her. She was very accommodating in moving appointments and did so very efficiently. We ordered drawer pulls through them as well and when one of the pulls arrived with a part missing, Janet not only got it replaced, but also got an extra pull to keep for spares. I am happy to say the project is complete and we are very satisfied with the outcome. We would highly recommend Scott and Janet Masolo at Marin Kitchen Company.

We priced countertops taking the middle, not the highest nor lowest. Marin Kitchen failed. First they did Not meet their deadline, it's 12 days past and the job is not finished. Now they blame us and say we should have started sooner rather than meeting the deadline. Second the were supposed to have a different edge on the bar but it's all the same kitchen and bar. Third they measured wrong. The Quartz is about 2 inches lower than the previous and the wall above is a mess. Now they say that is our fault, even though they measured it and were supposed to match the size of what was already there. The wall looks horrific, the wall is damaged and the texture is messed up. They wanted to add and patch, then they wanted to paint it and now they don't want to finish it and be paid; We may end up in court and I DO NOT recommend them. I would not have given them 1 star but I had to or it would not post. Well it's finished. It looks nice. The extra time and hassles my huband went through should not have happened and it was NOT exactly as ordered. I changed the stars to 3 because it looks nice but..............
